Our daily schedule is flexible, depending on projects, field trips, and guest speakers, for an engaging learning experience.
15-minute Gathering Activity
50-minute ELA
Students can use a curriculum the guardian provides or use a provided online Lexia account
5-minute Dance Party Break
We believe it is important to move your body and get your blood pumping to stay alert and focused on your learning. Adding breaks throughout the day improves focus and extends students' attention span.
50-minute Math
Students can use a curriculum the guardian provides or a provided CTC Math account.
5-minute Snack Attack Time
60-minute Group Learning Collaboration
We rotate through science, social studies, geography, and history. Different activities, such as debates, skits, slides, STEM activities, and experiments, are included depending on the student's interests.
30-minute Lunch
We try to be outside enjoying the Arizona sunshine and fresh air, usually at a nearby park if it is not too hot.
15-minute Reading Time
We typically have a class read-aloud book. Due to our shortened school hours, we expect students to have personal reading time at home.
15-minute Mini-Lessons
Mini-lessons often include but are not limited to music, journaling, handwriting, skill lessons, and typing.
60-minute Hands-On Creating
Time set apart to work with their hands on projects, art, crafting, and working with tools, and will vary depending on the subject and interests of the students
10-minute Cinderella (clean-up) Time
Cleaning is a necessary life skill during which students learn responsibility for their classroom supplies and environment by cleaning and caring for their learning space.
5-minute Review
Each student's struggle and successes of the day, cheering and supporting them as they reflect.
